New 2017 Chevy Equinox Redesign
Day by day, the popularity of 2017 Chevy Equinox is increasing more and more. It is manufactured by General Motors and they would like to give some redesigned aspects to make it up to date. As a popular compact crossover, Chevrolet would make it as the best-selling model. It has great sales record in North America with up to a million units was sold since its second generation in 2010. We heard the rumors that 2017 Chevy Equinox will be introduced soon in 2016 at Chicago Auto Show.
Exterior and Interior
It is also mentioned that Chevrolet would like to simplify the versions of this crossover with L, LS, LT, and LTZ. It means that 1LT, 2LT versions are eliminated. The outer part of the 2017 Chevy Equinox will be updated to give fresher look. You can find out that the front fascia grille dual output is quite new in this version. For LT and LTZ variant, it has unique chrome edging while all models will be completed with new headlights projectors. About L and LS model, both of those variants will be featured with reflective style daytime running lights and the LED daytime running lights will be presented for LT and LTZ. For you who would like to see a new fog lights, it could be found in LTZ models.
For its rear part, 2017 Chevy Equinox has new taillights with the double elements as its icon to complete the redesigned frame serial number plate. The front fascia is new with the lower chrome trim for the LTZ. The optional powertrain to offer is V6 engine with chrome exhaust tips. Chevrolet also adds new wheel design while the LS variant will have 17 inches of wheels as the optional. The LT model will be built with 17 inches of alloy wheels and the LTZ is 18 inches of wheels. For the center console, it has new shelf and the buttons or dials are redesigned. You can enjoy new 7 inches of touch screen for infotainment system, reversing camera and Bluetooth for all models. The gearbox control levels will be decorated with chrome accents and it has new buttons from electronic selector housing. Both L and LS has better interior materials while LT and LTZ have blind spot monitoring systems and cross-traffic alert for its back. Even, there is a new color option for the cabin and new universal tablet holders at the back of front seats for rear passengers.
2017 Chevy Equinox is also has OnStar 4G LTE connection for all models. The LT and LTZ have MyLink, track collision and departure prevention system.
2017 Chevy Equinox still has the same powertrain. The base variant has four-cylinder 2.4 liter for 182 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. All versions have different engine options to offer.
