New 2018 Ford Fiesta ST
To meet the company’s ambitious target to produce no less than 12 all new in the year 2020, Ford team is just working hard on it. After releasing the powerful vehicle Focus RS best known with its 350 horsepower of output this year, the auto company is planning to launch the next version of Fiesta car. Many German news and world auto reports are now talking about the new coming of the 2018 Ford Fiesta, thus, it is completely intriguing to see the car changes and improvements.
The overall body design of new Fiesta RS version is much inspired by the Focus RS than the ST model. In the outer part, the automaker is expected to feature the pocket rocket on the car’s front bumper enhanced with a larger air vents, a wider grille, compact car side, and better diffuser out back. We might also notice the RS emblems sprinkling all around the 2018 Ford Fiesta car body. Talking about the cabin, we could not see the detailed revamps since no sufficient information of it. However, many expect that new high-end components and bucket seats will be installed.
Under the hood, the auto engineer will engage the same turbocharged 1.6-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine unit capable to generate the better output than the ST model at around 250 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission will be paired to boost the car performance. Based on current reports, the 2018 Ford Fiesta might be maintaining its front-wheel drive set up or adopting the all-wheel drive system. On the speed test, the Fiesta could accelerate from 0-62 mph in 6 seconds with the top speed of 155 mph.
2018 Ford Fiesta Release Date and Price
Even though no official date and price confirmation is available, based on Auto Bild, German magazine, the next Fiesta will be introduced next year in 40th anniversary celebration.
